Broadway with BCA

Broadway Center for the Arts is dedicated to providing rich opportunities for our participants to experience all of the wonderful aspects of the theatre. To this end, we are thrilled to announce our newest educational program… “Broadway with BCA.”

We have secured 40 tickets to three exciting shows that are part of the Broadway in Knoxville series at the historic Tennessee Theater! We will be taking our students to see “Dear Evan Hansen,” “Hamilton” and “Cats” as part of the 2022-23 season! We are also hopeful to be able to attend the lecture series with Dr. Broadway following two of the performances.

Students who are in 6th through 12th grade for the 2022-23 school year and have participated in a BCA production in the past 12 months are eligible to be part of this program. Here are a few details:

  1. Tickets are on a first come-first serve basis with sign ups opening at 9 am on Monday, July 25th.
  2.  We have to pre-purchase these tickets. Therefore, they are non-refundable. In the event your student cannot attend, and we can fill the spot from our wait list, we can transfer the ticket and will refund your money. A 50% deposit for your ticket/s is due by Monday, August 1st and may be paid ONLY by cash or check (made payable to BCA).
  3. While we will have designated chaperones attending the event, students are expected to understand proper theater etiquette and behave in a manner that represents themselves and BCA well.
  4. Students must be in good standing with BCA in order to attend.
  5. Students will be responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the show.
  6. Students may sign up for any (or all) of the shows that we are offering. Once the tickets are sold out, we will begin a wait list for each of the performances.
  7. Parents are responsible for understanding the material in each of the shows and recognize that some may touch on sensitive subjects including drug use, adultery and suicide. There is also material that could be considered explicit. Additionally, there is profanity in both “Hamilton” and “Dear Evan Hansen.” By registering for these shows, you understand that it is your responsibility to make sure it is appropriate for your student to attend.

We are thrilled to be adding “Broadway with BCA” as part of our educational programming, and look forward to providing even more unique opportunities for our students to learn, explore, and grow in the arts!
